ANT 4143 - European Archaeology Credit(s): 3 The archaeology of Europe, from the first Paleolithic inhabitants to the fall of Roman civilization. The course will focus on ancient material culture while emphasizing social and economic questions such as the emergence of modern humans, the adoption of agriculture, the development of complex societies, and the rise of civilization.
