EDA 6232 School Law Credit Hours: 3
Educational administration, traditionally shaped by legislatures, school boards, administrators, and teachers are also influenced greatly by decisions of state and federal courts. Information about state statutes, administrative policies, and regulations as well as court decisions are essential tools for administrators. You will engage with school law content from a practical perspective, with detail paid to core legal principles of school administration. During the duration of the course, students will engage with caselaw and critically analyze school law issues. Additionally, students will gain and understanding of general legal principles, legal research and writing skills, and judicial processes.
