Risk Management and Insurance Minor (For Business Majors Only)

The Risk Management and Insurance minor is available to all Undergraduate Muma College of Business students, except those majoring in Risk Management and Insurance. A grade of C (not C-) or better must be earned in each of the required courses counted for the minor. A GPA of 2.0 or higher must be achieved in all minor coursework. All attempts will be included in the GPA unless grade forgiveness has been used. This program is for Business majors only.

Total Minor Credit Hours: 12
Minor Core Courses (9 credit hours)
Note: RMI 4292 and RMI 4447 can be applied towards the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, a pominent industry credential. Minor Elective Courses (3 credit hours)
Electives may be selected from among those 3000 or 4000 level classes that have RMI or FIN as prefixes, as well as MAN 4802, MAR 3823, MAR 4841, and MAR 3400. GPA Requirements
- A grade point average of 2.00 or better must be achieved in the minor coursework and in all minor courses completed at other institutions.
- All attempts will be included in the GPA unless grade forgiveness has been used.
Grading Requirements
A grade of “C” (not C-) or better must be earned in each of the Risk Management and Insurance courses that are counted toward the minor requirements. |
