Political Science Minor


The minor in Political Science is available to students in any major and will introduce students to the process of political inquiry and institutions as the international, federal, state and local levels.

Minor Requirements


A minor in Political Science requires the completion of a minimum of 18 credit hours.

Total Minor Credit Hours: 18


Minor Elective Credit Hours: 18


Students must choose 6 credit hours from the following list.

GPA Requirements


Minimum 2.0 in the minor.

Grading Requirements


A grade of C- or better is required in all core coursework.

A maximum of three (3) credits of S/U coursework may be counted toward the minor.

Residency Requirement


Students must have nine (9) hours of minor courses in residency at USF.

Students must complete a minimum of 2 USF courses (6 credit hours) at the 3000+ level that are not used to meet requirements in their academic major or other minors.
