The Minor in Art Studio at the University of South Florida is designed to provide students with a scope of experiences in art. The program consists of 24 credit hours of study that strengthens your critical thinking and visual communication skills, enhancing your ability to solve problems creatively.

Minor Requirements (24 Credit Hours)
A minimum of 24 credit hours is required for the minor in Art Studio, in the following distribution:
Art Area Preparation (15 Credit Hours)
Art Studio (9 Credit Hours)
• Beginning Studio Workshop (two courses)
• Intermediate Studio Workshops (one course)
Students have the opportunity for studio experience in a variety of areas: Animation & Digital Modeling, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture & Extended Media, and Video.
GPA Requirements
A minimum overall GPA of 2.0 is required for the minor.
Grading Requirements
Students must earn a “C” or better in their minor coursework.
