Queer and Sexuality Studies Minor

The minor in Queer and Sexuality Studies is available to students pursuing any other major at USF. It requires a minimum of 18 hours of interdisciplinary coursework.

Minor Requirements: 18 hours
Minor Core (6 Credit Hours)
Choose 6 hours from:
Minor Electives (12 Credit Hours)
Must include a minimum of six (6) hours at the 4000-level or higher.
Twelve (12) credit hours selected from:
GPA Requirements
Minor GPA (all USF courses which are applied to minor requirements): 2.0
Grading Requirement
- A grade of “C-” is required for a departmental course to count toward a Women’s and Gender Studies minor.
- Courses may not be taken S/U, where a grade option exists.
Residency Requirements
CAS Minor Academic Residency Requirement: 50% of minor must be completed at USF.
Other Information
Students may petition the undergraduate advisor to focus their minor on a specific area within Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, such as sexualities, women’s health or social justice.
