Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor for Business and Industrial Engineering Majors

This is an interdisciplinary entrepreneurship minor available to USF Business and Industrial Engineering majors (other majors should take the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor for Non-Business and Non-Industrial Engineering Majors). This minor focuses on successful opportunity recognition; encourages application of creativity and innovation; and, develops leadership skills for new venture creation and organizational growth. This minor teaches valuable, real-world skills that will complement the major – whether students would like to increase their entrepreneurial business skills, pursue their own business ideas, or learn ways to bring innovation and entrepreneurial leadership into existing positions and businesses.

Minor Requirements
For Business and Industrial Engineering majors only. The minor requires a total of 12 credit hours.
Total Minor Credit Hours: 12
Minor Core Credit Hours: 9
Minor Elective Credit Hours: 3
Choose 3 credit hours:
- Any upper level Entrepreneurship courses with an ENT prefix (excluding ENT 3003 and ENT 3004 )
GPA Requirement
A GPA of 2.0 or better must be achieved in the course work at USF and in all minor courses completed at other institutions.
Grading Requirement
A grade of C (not C-) or better must be earned in each of the minor courses.
Residency Requirements
Students must take nine (9) of the 12 hours required in residency at USF.
Other Information - Muma College of Business
When earning a second degree, double major or concurrent degree, the Major Core and Major Elective/Concentration areas of the degree audit must not overlap for both degrees. When earning a Business Minor AND Business Major, no courses may overlap.
