Graduate Certificate Admissions and Process

Students must apply and be admitted into the Graduate Certificate to be eligible to receive a Graduate Certificate. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Graduate Certificate Director prior to applying. 

Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

1. University Admission Requirements, including English Proficiency    
2. Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements    
3. ​​Application Process 

Requirements of this Certificate (12 Credit Hours)

• Complete the following (9 credit hours):

   

• OCE 6940C Experiential Learning in Marine Science Credit Hours: 1-4 (3 credits for this program)
• OCE 6048 Scientist in the Classroom Credit Hours: 1-4
• OCE 6949C Developing and Teaching a STEM Course Credit Hours: 1-4 (3 credits for this program)

•  

  And choose one of the following (3 Credit hours):

   

• OCE 6950 Teaching the Broader Impacts of Ocean Sciences Credit Hours: 1-4 (3 credit hours for this program)
• OCE 6921 Professional Development I Credit Hours: 2

Graduate Certificate Time Limit

Five (5) Years.
