Global Health Practice Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Global Health Practice is a cluster of courses in global health practice designed to prepare students for the practical experience to address public health issues in low resource settings. The cluster is comprised of the required courses in the Masters of Public Health (MPH) concentration area Global Health Practice. Through this curriculum, students will be exposed to current global public health challenges and opportunities for intervention. Courses also focus on assessment and intervention strategies useful in resolving health problems of primarily developing countries.

Graduate Certificate Admissions and Process


Students must apply and be admitted into the Graduate Certificate to be eligible to receive a Graduate Certificate. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Graduate Certificate Director prior to applying. 

Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

  1. University Admission Requirements, including English Proficiency    
  2. Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements    

Curriculum Requirements (12 Credit Hours)


The Certificate only enrolls students in the Fall semester. Courses are sequenced and must be taken in order. Students are required to satisfactorily complete the four courses in order to receive their certificate. Courses must be completed in the order outlined below.
