Semiconductor Technology and Manufacturing (STeM) Graduate Certificate

Graduate Certificate Admissions and Process

Students must apply and be admitted into the Graduate Certificate to be eligible to receive a Graduate Certificate. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Graduate Certificate Director prior to applying. 

Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

1. University Admission Requirements, including English Proficiency     
2. Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements     
3. ​​Application Process 

Curriculum Requirements (15 Credit Hours)

This Certificate requires completion of fifteen (15) credits from a flexible of courses. Students pursuing a graduate certificate will be required to meet the same academic requirements as those defined for degree-seeking students to remain in “good academic standing.”

Complete the following:

Select a minimum of five (5) credits:

• EEE 6354 Semiconductor Device Physics Foundations Credit Hours: 1
• EEE 6352 Electronic Materials, Defects and Junctions Credit Hours: 1
• EEE 6405 Electronic Integrated Device Manufacture Credit Hours: 2
• EEE 6322 High Volume Circuit Manufacture Credit Hours: 1
• EEE 6325 Semiconductor Process Simulation Credit Hours: 1
• EEE 6397 Bipolar Junction and Field-Effect Transistor Fundamentals Credit Hours: 1
• EEL 6935 Selected Electrical Topics Credit Hours: 1-3

• taken as Advanced Electronic Devices (2 credit hours for this program)

• EEE 6409 Advanced Electronic Device Manufacture Credit Hours: 2

• EEE 6278 Advanced MEMS Design, Modeling and Simulation Credit Hours: 3
• EEE 6385 Photonic Device Foundations Credit Hours: 1
• EEE 6386 Light Sources, LEDs and LASERS Credit Hours: 1
• EEE 6387 Photonic Detectors and Solar Cells Credit Hours: 1
