The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Information Technology is designed to prepare students for careers at the intersection of healthcare and technology. This program combines foundational knowledge in health sciences with specialized training in health information management, data analytics, and healthcare IT systems. Graduates will be equipped to manage, secure, and analyze health information, contributing to the improvement of healthcare delivery, patient outcomes, and organizational efficiency.
This concentration prepares students for a dynamic and growing field in health information technology. Students in this concentration can go into careers in medical records management, information technologies, software and internet development, project management, and consulting. This concentration also prepares students for entry into graduate programs in administration, policy, and health informatics.
