INT 4208 - Interpreting II - English to ASL

Advanced level students will strengthen their skills from spoken English to ASL interpretation. Strategies and techniques include cultural considerations, use of transitions, chunking information, disfluent pausing, and information and affect retention. Topics include: proper preparation for interpreting assignments, processing time, interpreting teams, and interpreter entry-level competencies.
