THE 4264 - History of Costume

A survey of clothing and dress from Ancient Egypt to the 21st Century with an emphasis on cultural and social influences. Study of historical costume as it reflects human expression in a given time and place. Includes discussion of the sociological, psychological, economic, political, and technological factors affecting fashion. Special discussion given to clothing as it reflects and impacts society.
