CIS 4778 - Applied Data and Information Security Credit(s): 3 The course covers design, analysis and implementation of basic security tools to protect sensitive data and information. Specifically, it covers encryption, decryption, operation modes, hash function, public certificate, one-time pad, secure data and information storage, lightweight verification of information source, secure random number generation, and vulnerabilities and attacks against data and information security, including frequency analysis attack, collision attack, and length extension attack.
