HFT 3882 - Street Food Around the World

This online course explores the unique culture, history, and heritage that is street food - a phenomenon that has been an integral part of global cultures for centuries.  Students investigate exactly who these people are, how they operate and manage their businesses and choose their locations, and what it is that specifically attracts so many people to street food. Students will analyze and reflect upon relevant videos while participating in class discussions, written assignments, street food vendor experience and analyses, and in-depth projects that focus on the geographic, historical, cultural, and economic influences of street food.
