INT 3120 - Current Issues in the Interpreting Profession

This course focuses on current issues and events that impact the interpreting profession. Biases at the systemic and individual level which contribute to the perpetuation of oppression in our society will be explored. Discussions will center around interpreting with persons of diverse backgrounds, credentialing, power, privilege, and oppression within communities which interpreters work.
