SCE 6315 Teaching Elementary School Science Credit Hours: 3
This course promotes the development of pedagogical practices for the concepts, materials, and methods that comprise a robust foundation for the elementary school science classroom. Students enrolled in this course will become proficient in planning, writing, implementing, and evaluating science instruction, as specified in the Florida Elementary Education Subject Area Competencies Science 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Through a variety of learning experiences, an enhanced understanding of the nature of science and inquiry-based science teaching will emerge.
