SOW 6235 Foundations of Social Welfare Policy Practice Credit Hours: 3
Introduces graduate students to social problems, policies, and programs, their origins and emphasizing social, economic, and political factors, including race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity. It examines marginalized groups’ roles in policy development, understanding of social welfare complexities and preparing students for advocacy and policy analysis roles.
