MDE 8406 Pediatric Rural and Migrant Health

This elective is designed to familiarize the student with general outpatient pediatric care in a rural migrant health center. All students will be under the supervision of a precepting physician participating in well childcare as well as acute walk-in care. This rotation will provide students with a better understanding of rural medicine and the tremendous health needs of rural and migrant populations.
