LIS 5345 Scholarly Communication

Introduces students to scholarly communication, with an emphasis on the impact of digital and open environments. The course covers the fundamentals of scholarly communication and its implications for libraries. Digital scholarship, open-access, copy right, data repositories, open educational resources, open data will be discussed. Scholarly communication tools will be examined.
