BME 6537 Introduction to Medical Imaging Credit Hours: 3
This course covers modern medical imaging technologies from a biomedical engineering perspective. The physics, mathematics, instrumentation and clinical applications of x-ray radiography, computed tomography, ultrasound imaging, positive emission tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, diffuse optical tomography, fluorescence molecular tomography, and photoacoustic tomography are discussed.
