PHY 5680 Quantum Foundations for Quantum Information Sciences Credit Hours: 3
An introductory course to the emerging fields of quantum information and computation. Topics to be covered include bra-ket notation, qubits, density matrix operator, entropy, errors, composite states and reduced density matrix operator, quantum measurements, entanglement, physical systems as qubits and their properties, quantum processes in qubit systems.
