GLY 6275 Discussion of Earth’s Isotopes - Current Research Trends


Credit Hours: 3

Introduces students to the theory and practice of using the diverse light stable isotopes of Earth (H, C, N, O, S) to study Earth and marine processes. The course covers the theory of stable isotopes including notation, calculations, formula derivation, fractionation factors, and isotope systematics. Students conduct a research project , write a paper, and present their findings.
