LIS 6202 Cultural Competence in Information Services Credit Hours: 3
To prepare user and information services professionals for a global society, this course introduces concepts and theoretical frameworks of cultural competence for serving information needs of diverse communities. Students will identify knowledge, skills, and abilities for working with users from various cultural groups, assess cultural needs, and design user-centered information services.
