OCP 6266 Southern Ocean Dynamics Credit Hours: 2
The Southern Ocean is unique in many ways. It contains the only currents that circumnavigates the globe, it is the largest natural sink for CO2 on the planet, is experiencing significant changes because of global warming and melting of Antarctica glaciers. This course will consist of reading and discussing a series of papers covering specific aspects of the Southern Ocean climate and dynamics.
