EEX 6342 Advanced Seminar: Paradigms, Practices, and Action Research in Special Education Credit Hours: 3
This graduate seminar has been designed to help students examine critical issues in the field of special education through teacher research and evaluate the controversies, dilemmas, and or major issues confronting the field. Attention focuses on the institutional and programmatic decision that special educators currently face or are likely to face in the foreseeable future in their roles as teacher, collaborator, consultant, advocate, or leader. Topics for research include paradigms and practices for providing service, service models, and legal mandates, instructional strategies, working with families and implementing High Leverage Practices.
