MAS 6220 Algebraic Number Theory

Credit Hours: 3

This course covers the fundamentals of algebraic number theory; most part of the course deals with number fields but the approach is also extended to function fields. Number theoretic questions arising from cryptography are also discussed.

Prerequisite(s): MAS 5311  with a minimum grade of C, MAS 6312  with a minimum grade of C
